1. Who we are
Kingston Properties Limited (“KPREIT”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is a Jamaican real estate investment trust listed on the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE: KPREIT). Our registered office is at 36–38 Red Hills Road, Building B, 1st Floor, Kingston 10, Jamaica. This Privacy Policy applies to www.kpreit.com and any personal information we collect through it.
2. Information we collect
We only collect what you choose to give us through two website features:
- Contact form — when you submit our contact form at /contact/, we receive your name, email address, telephone number (if provided), and the body of your message.
- Newsletter signup — when you subscribe to investor updates, we receive your first name, last name, and email address.
We also collect standard server logs (IP address, user agent, page visited) for security and analytics. We do not use third-party advertising trackers. Our website uses essential cookies and may use analytics cookies to understand how visitors use the site — you can disable non-essential cookies in your browser at any time.
3. How we use your information
- To respond to your inquiries submitted through the contact form.
- To send you investor updates and corporate news if you have subscribed to our newsletter.
- To keep our website secure and improve user experience.
- To comply with our obligations under the Jamaica Stock Exchange Rules and applicable laws.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Third-party services we use
- Mailchimp (Intuit Inc.) — we use Mailchimp to deliver our newsletter. If you subscribe, your name and email address are stored in our Mailchimp Audience. See Mailchimp’s privacy notice at intuit.com/privacy/statement.
- Email delivery — contact form submissions are delivered to our corporate inbox at info@kpreit.com. The message is also retained on our website server for our records.
- Hosting — the website is hosted on infrastructure managed by our service providers, who process data on our behalf under written agreements.
5. How long we keep your information
- Contact form submissions: retained for up to 24 months from receipt, then archived or deleted.
- Newsletter records: retained until you unsubscribe. Every email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe link.
- Server logs: retained for up to 12 months.
6. Your rights
Under the Jamaica Data Protection Act, 2020, and (where applicable) the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the UK Data Protection Act 2018, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Request deletion of your personal data where we no longer have a lawful basis to retain it.
- Withdraw your consent to marketing communications at any time.
- Lodge a complaint with the Office of the Information Commissioner (Jamaica) or your local supervisory authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email info@kpreit.com with the subject line “Privacy Request.” We will respond within 30 days.
7. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards to protect personal information, including TLS encryption for all form submissions, restricted internal access, and regular security reviews of our website infrastructure. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children
This website is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Effective” date at the top reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be communicated through this page and, where appropriate, by email.
