The Half Way Tree Community Development Committee Benevolent Society (CDC) is a non-governmental agency whose mission is to identify the priority needs of the communities it serves and seek to address those needs. They are currently embarking on a Peace Intervention Summer Programme targeting 25 youth aged 8 – 15. This Camp is aimed at promoting positive attitudes, healthy lifestyles and responsible citizenship among our youth by using the five principles of the programme: Self Improvement, Communication, Discipline, Respect and Teamwork. This is scheduled to commence July 18 2016 to August 12 2016, Mondays to Thursdays 9am-3pm with Educational field trips on Fridays. The camp will be held at Cassia Park Community Centre.
