
Nicole Foga

Nicole Foga is the Managing Partner of Foga Daley and heads the firm’s Telecommunications, Media & Technology Department. Her practice areas include Commercial, Cyber and Intellectual Property Law. Ms. Foga holds a LLM in Commercial Law (Aberdeen University), LLB (UWI) and a BA (1st Class Hons.) (UWI).
Ms. Foga is Chair of the University of Technology Pension Fund, a Vice Chair of Jamaica’s Copyright Tribunal, Director & Company Secretary for the Usain Bolt Foundation, Chair of the Telecommunications, Broadcasting and Technology Committee of the Jamaican Bar Association, member of the Legal and Enforcement Committee of the Town and Country Planning Authority and member of the Mona ICT Policy Centre Advisory Committee. She is also a member of the International Trademark Association (INTA), Chair of the ICANN Compliance and Accountability Subcommittee of the INTA Internet Subcommittee, member of the ITechLaw Association, Society for Computers and the Law, and an Associate member of the American Bar Association and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
Ms. Foga has been a featured speaker on various Cyber Law issues including data privacy and protection.
Previous appointments include the first General Counsel of the Office of Utilities Regulation, Legal Advisor to the Broadcasting Commission, Crown Counsel in the Attorney General’s Department, member of the International Committee of the Council on Foundations and Chairman of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Caribbean Regional Committee on Electronic Commerce and Intellectual Property.
Ms. Foga authored Cyber Law in Jamaica, 2012 and co-authored with Dianne Daley IP Rights and Caribbean ICT Industries: The Case for Reform – published in Ringtones of Opportunity, 2012. She is currently updating Cyber Law in Jamaica.
